About the Workshop

Storytelling from Your Practice is a three-hour deep dive for artists, coaches, therapists, and creative facilitators who want to cultivate a sustainable writing practice while sharing the stories emerging from their work.

Rather than focusing on one platform, we'll begin with the creative practice itself, returning to the art of paying attention, gathering ideas, and nurturing an intentional writing practice that supports both you and your nervous system.

Together, we'll explore where meaningful stories come from, simple rituals that make writing feel more approachable, and somatic practices that care for the creative body while writing. You'll discover how everyday moments from your creative practice, work, relationships, observations, and conversations can become personal stories that deepen connection with your community, customers, clients, readers, and even yourself.

Instead of asking, "What should I post today?" we'll ask, "What have I been paying attention to?" From there, we'll explore how a single story can be thoughtfully adapted across newsletters and publishing platforms (Substack, Ghost, Buttondown), blogs, websites, social media, email, and even traditional print publications. Rather than creating different content for every platform, you'll learn how one meaningful story can find many homes.

You'll leave with a collection of story possibilities gathered from your own practice, one story you've begun developing, and a repeatable approach for noticing, shaping, and sharing future stories, along with fresh inspiration and a sustainable approach to storytelling that feels less like content creation and more like an extension of your whole creative life.

This Is For

  • Artists, coaches, therapists, and creative facilitators interested in sharing the stories emerging from their personal and professional practices.

  • Creatives who want to cultivate a sustainable writing practice rooted in their whole creative life.

  • People who sense they have stories to tell but aren't always sure how to recognize or shape them.

  • People who are curious about or already have a newsletter, Substack, blog, or social media presence and want more clarity on which stories to tell and where to share them.

  • Those who want to share their work in ways that feel thoughtful, connected, and true to their voice rather than performative.

  • Those who want to approach storytelling as a creative practice rather than simply a marketing strategy.
