About the Workshop

Storytelling from the Studio is a two-hour workshop for artists, makers, and creative business owners who want to share the stories behind their work without feeling overwhelmed by the pressure to constantly create content. Rather than focusing on one platform, we'll begin with the creative practice itself, returning to the practice of paying attention, gathering ideas, and developing a sustainable writing practice that supports both your creative business and your nervous system.

Together, we'll explore where meaningful stories come from, simple rituals that make writing feel more approachable, and somatic practices that help care for the creative body while writing. You'll discover how everyday moments in your studio, creative process, materials, and conversations can become authentic stories that deepen your connection with your audience.

Instead of asking, "What should I post today?" we'll ask, "What have I been paying attention to?" From there, we'll explore how a single story can be thoughtfully adapted across newsletters and publishing platforms (Substack, Ghost, Buttondown), blogs, websites, social media, email, and even traditional print publications. Rather than creating different content for every platform, you'll learn how one meaningful story can find many homes.

You'll leave with practical tools, fresh inspiration, and a sustainable approach to storytelling that feels less like content creation and more like an extension of your whole creative life.
